Obituary of George W. Jennings, Jr.

George was born in Alton IL to George W Jennings, Sr of Greenfield IL and Marie Eva Agnes Jennings nee Gagnon of Lambton, Quebec, Canada.

He is survived by three sisters, Margaret Jennings of Crestview FL; Therese (Bryan) Burdick of Noank, CT; Maxine Hurst of Lakeland FL; one brother Robert Jennings of Statesboro GA; 3 nephews, 1 great nephew and several cousins.

He spent his early years growing up in Florissant MO a suburb of St Louis MO.  He was a mischievous child who engaged in taking apart and rebuilding anything from his toys to his mother's Electrolux vacuum.

He relocated to New Port Richey, FL as a young adult where he lived the rest of his life.  He carried his childhood interests forward into the profession of a contractor/carpenter performing new home construction and property maintenance for members of the community of New Port Richey and the surrounding area.  He derived a great deal of personal gratification from helping those in need.

He was a member of St James the Apostle Catholic Church, New Port Richey FL and was an active volunteer in the St Vincent de Paul Society also of New Port Richey FL for many years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his remembrance to the St Vincent de Paul Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
