Obituary of Michael Sal Sharay

The spirit of our dear Michael, born as Michael Sal Sharay on August 1st, 1968, was taken from his body on June 20th, 2019 at 50 years old, and carried to his new permanent home in heaven with his Maker, God the Father, and his Son, Mike's Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Michael, known to most as Mike or Mikey, was born in Michigan but grew up in Florida before moving back to Michigan with his wife and 2 sons. Although he was involved in many trades from landscaping and surveying to plumbing and sheet metal, he supported his family as a Journeyman Tile Setter before returning to Florida where he lived out his remaining years. Michael, the youngest of 4 siblings, is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Rose (Rosina Mancini Sharay), his Aunt Fran (Francina Mancina), his 3 siblings, Theresa Sharay Knechtel, Catherine Sharay Murray, and David Sal Sharay. He is also survived by eldest son, Tommy (Thomas Meyers), and Mike's wife, Tonya Jacquelyn Sharay, and their sons, Sal (Saleh-Michael David Sharay) and Sean (Sean-Michael Bell Sharay). He is also survived by his 2 brother-in-laws, William Murray and Christopher Knechtel, as well as several other cousins and aunts and uncles in Michigan and Florida. Mike was so much to so many... a son, a brother, a husband, a father, and a friend. He was often know for being kind-hearted and helpful to anyone he met; but his pride and joy were his sons. And although we rejoice in knowing that his is in a heaven prepared for him by God and his angels, we will mourn his loss until our dying breaths. Gone from earth too soon, Michael...Gone too soon.
