Obituary of Steven M. St. John

It is with great sadness to share that Dr. Steven M. St.John peacefully passed away on the morning of September 7, 2022, while surrounded by his family. Steve was born in Moline, Illinois to Murrel and Lorraine St. John. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois, and was a beloved veterinarian, serving the Port Richey area, for 40+ years. Steve's compassion for our pets extended to benevolence work caring for sick & injured local, native wildlife. He participated in multiple short-term, evangelistic mission trips to Ghana, Uganda, Russia, China, & Jamaica. Steve was an avid beekeeper, loved to explore, snow ski & was a proficient DIY-er. Steve is survived by his wife, Deedee; children: Hollis (Danielle); Chelsea (James); and Natalie(Nick); brother, Ken St.John(Sandy); and five grandchildren, Ashton, Ember, Forrest, John, and Calvin. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and brother, Ron(Diane). As a Believer in Christ, he was looking forward to seeing them again in Heaven. Faupel Funeral Home will be hosting a Celebration of Life for Steve Tuesday evening, November 8, 2022. Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 pm. Pastor Jon DuBois will share a devotional at 7pm.
