Obituary of Mariella Coronel

Mariella Coronel, 92, of Hudson, passed in peace Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was born March 14, 1930 to Concepcion Figueroa and Luis Enrique Orozco. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mariella loved life and was happiest traveling with her family and close friends. She made everyone feel important and wanted the best for everyone. Always in good spirits and a smile on her face, she was a source of strength for many. A selfless woman who’s faith in the love of God was strong. A simple woman built on traditional values and high integrity. She was warm, nurturing, had a sense of humor and loved to sing 50’s Spanish love ballads. To know her was to love her. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Maria del Carmen Orozco. Mariella is survived by her loving husband, Enrique Antonio Coronel; sister Concepcion of Cali, Colombia; brothers Kamel of Cali, Colombia and Carlos of London, UK; daughters Adriana Medina (John), Betty Eugenia Coronel (Tim); sons Diego Alejandro and Luis Enrique; granddaughter Kelley Medina of Winston-Salem, NC; grandsons Steven Zamorano of Charlotte, NC and John Ryan Medina of Chattanooga, TN. A small service with her close family was held Sunday, May 1st. The family will receive flowers or letters at 8605 Wagon Wheel Lane, Hudson, FL 34667.
