Obituary of David F Delano

David F. Delano, 78, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away October 23, 2021. He was born to parents Lester A. and Ada C. (Cooper) Delano, April 10, 1943 in New Bedford, MA. He graduated from Fairhaven High School after which he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and later became an active member in the VFW as the post commander 1997 & 1998 as well as on the board of directors from 1997 - 2012. He married Diana Denton in 1977, he lived on Cape Cod, MA for many years before relocating to New Port Richey, FL. David is survived by his wife, four children: Jon Delano and his wife Heidi, of Buford, GA; Chad Delano and his wife Hollie, of Cushing, ME; Jim Delano and his wife Robin of Harwich, MA; and Julie Delano of Hyannis, MA. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Audrey Delano, of Miami, FL; Alyssa Delano, of Buford, GA; Alexa Delano of Harwich, MA; James Delano of Harwich, MA; and Marcus Delano of Harwich, MA; and Brooke Baker, of New Bedford, MA and one great-grandchild Caius McNeil, of Buford, GA.
